• Radiator brush - A special paint brush which is designed for painting the awkward areas such as the backs of radiators.
• Ratchet - A mechanism which transmits movement in one direction only.
• Rebate plane - A little wood plane which is used for cleaning out sawn rebates. The nose section can be dismantled, allowing you to get right into corners.
• Rivet pliers (rivet gun) - Used for blind riveting (where access is only available from one side of the metals being joined).
